Foundation Update

Written by Cam Gravrock on May 3rd, 2010

The Husky Swimming Foundation would like to update everyone that preparations for the resurrection of the Husky Inviational are well underway. There is a lot of interest generating from both age group and college teams from around the country and we hope to have several high profile swimmers competing as well. The dates of the meet are December 2nd through the 5th and will be held at the King County Aquatic Center in the same prelim/final format as always (1,000yd timed finals on Thursday).

We do need your help to make this event a huge success. The Husky Swimming Foundation is looking for commitments from three levels of Sponsors.

  1. Gold Medal Sponsors – Presenting Sponsor (one available)
  2. Silver Medal Sponsors (two remaining)
  3. Bronze Medal Sponsors (multiple available)

First and foremost, The Husky Swimming Foundation is actively seeking the help from a corporate entity to act as our Gold Medal Sponsor (our Presenting Sponsor) to help secure the King County Aquatic Center and preserve the Husky Invitational for the next three years. The value of this sponsorship will be enormous as it will provide name recognition with one of the most storied regional swim meets in the history of the Pacific Northwest.

The Presenting Sponsor will be attached alongside the Husky Invitational name “The Husky Invitational, Presented by_______” and will receive a comprehensive promotional package that includes radio, website and onsite advertising, print advertising in the programs and press releases as well as t-shirts and merchandise, display areas at various Husky Swimming Foundation events, hospitality, meet and greet sessions with US National team members and the priceless message that goes along with saving Husky Swimming and the Husky Invitational.

Silver and Bronze Medal Sponsorship packages also available which include promotional support as well. Please help spread the word (especially to executives and marketing contacts within your company’s organization) and contact Cam Gravrock at cam.gravrock@gmail.com for more information.

Remember that the Lost Dawg campaign is still underway. Cat Clark is collecting email, phone numbers and addreses of former Husky Swimmers and supporters of the program. Please email Cat at cat@loccc.com if you feel she does not have your current information.

The Husky Swimming Foundation also wants to let everyone know that old Husky Swimming Apparel is available. We have set donation thresholds for our inventory of shirts and parkas. Donors who contribute $1,000 or more will receive a parka. Donors contributing $100 or more will receive a t-shirt. These will be available while supplies last so make sure to donate today!
